Human Environmental Interaction is defined by how we, humans, interact and impact the world around us and how nature, the environment, interacts and impacts with us. There is HEI in every region of the world whether it be the weather, the terrain, the animals, or the natural disasters. We can either be impacted by the environment positively or negatively, and vice versa.

Environment VS. Humans

The environment in France effects them in different ways in different regions. In certian areas in France, there are horrible hurricanes and cyclones that come around about every 8 years. The people that live in these areas must adapt their lifestyle so that in the event one may appear, they are ready. This could mean that their homes must be built to withstand the storms.

Humans are also impacted by the environment in France by the climate. In some areas of France, it is very tropical and humid. The people there must adapt their clothing and lifestyles to the heat and be prepared for more hot weather, in the event that the temperature and humidity increases.

Human VS. Environment

There are many ways that all of us humans contribute to the human vs. environment. In France, they tear down forest so that they can build gigantic landmarks on them. For example, the Eiffel Tower.

I am in no way saying that it is wrong to build nice landmarks for your country to be known by. But they have impacted their environment by forcing animals to go live else where or (in extreme cases) causing them to go extinct. The animals have only known that place of their home and don't know how to adapt somewhere else! I guess I'm just trying to say that they tore down the forest to build a monument that is not required for their well being. But the Eiffel Tower does bring many tourist to France which gives them money...so there is always a pro and a con to every story.

Human VS. Environment

From my source, I found out that pollution was a huge environmental problem in France. Not only is there air pollution but water pollution. The cities of France produce around 18.7 million tons of solid waste every year. France only has 180 cubic kilometers of renewable water. 73% of it is used for industrial purposes and 12% of it is used for farming. That only leaves about 15% of clean, renewable water.

Air pollution is also a problem but it is not as major as France's water pollution. France had "the world's 11th highest level of industrial carbon dioxide emissions in 1992". They are working to lessen the amount of ariborne emissions in the busier cities of France. If you're interested in more information/would like to see my source, click the button below.
